Type 4 Natural Hair And Anxiety | Wash And Go With Product Favorites From 2018

Hey honey bun, I have high density type 4a/4b natural hair, and I have fine strands. This combination used to leave me irritated and anxious on wash day. My high density means I have a lot of hair per square inch and my fine strands means my hair is extremely prone to breakage, single strand (fairy) knots, and tangling. I discovered that dividing my hair in sections allows my hair to stay (moderately) tangle free and less overwhelming. I started this discovery by dividing my hair into 4 sections, then I worked my way up to 6 sections, now I am at about 12-16 sections, for my density of hair I find this to be the perfect range. If wash day and/or styling your natural type 4 hair gives you anxiety, as crazy as it may seem; you are totally not alone. My number 1 tip is to learn your hair! Lets start with density; density simplified ranges from low, medium, and high. For low density I recommend 4-6 sections, for medium I recommend 6-10, and for high I recommend 12+.
