Legendary Tsukemen at Tomita in Matsudo

Описание: You will have to wake up early for this legendary bowl of ramen. Chuka Soba Tomita in Matsudo usually draws huge crowds from the early morning with their top tier tsukemen. Rightfully so, Tomita's bowl of tsukemen has won every ramen award out there at least once. It is currently the highest ranked ramen store on ramen database. In that sense, it definitely is a correct answer to the question "what is the best ramen restaurant in Japan?".

Not only the ramen restaurant is legendary, but also the queues and waiting times for a ticket. During busy times, people will start lining up at 7am to get tickets for their dream ramen. Officially, the vending of tickets starts at 8am and proceeds quite quickly. Once the tickets are bought from the vending machine, you will receive your assigned seating time. Between receiving the ticket and the seating time, you don't have to stick around Tomita, you can go and explore the surrounding area or take a train back to more central areas. But make sure to be back at least 15 minutes before your assigned seating time!

For ordering, I can recommend to get the top left button for the smallest size of tsukemen (still a lot of noodles!) and the top right button, to get the "all toppings" option, which will give you all the best meat Chuka Soba Tomita has to offer.

The broth is made from a mix of pork and chicken on one side, and sardines and horse mackerel on the fishy side. Super thick and viscous, almost like a gravy, the soup clings to your noodles and does not require any great slurping skills to enjoy.
The noodles are almost as famous as their broth, thick, chewy and perfectly balanced with the powerful soup.
The toppings, which aren't exactly served as toppings, but rather on the side, are equally legendary. It is definitely worth getting the full flight of meaty toppings, which can be ordered by pressing the top right button of the vending machine.
