This video is a quick tour of the Bass Pro Shop in Glendale Arizona, which, if you’ve lived here for a while, you might know as Cabela’s.

A 160,000 sq ft building right down the street from Cardinal Stadium. It’s a one-stop shop for all of your outdoor needs. When they designed the store they wanted it to be an immersive experience, almost like a tourist attraction. It’s no Disneyland, but I’ve yet to take a kid or relative to the store who didn’t enjoy it.

When you checkout they ask you if you’d like to round up. If you say, “yes,” that money goes to their Outdoor Fund which is a 501(C)(3) not-for-profit charity with 97 cents of every dollar supporting conservation efforts.
I’m not going to list everything that they carry here, the list would be too long. It’d be easier to list what they don’t have. I will say, that if you spend a lot of time outdoors it does pay to have club membership. Club membership gets you free gear-you get points for every purchase. The points never expire, and the APR is less than 10% which is 5-10% lower than most credit cards right now. There’s now annual fee, and being a member gets you access to special in-store events, members only discounts, and giveaways.
