Lady Maria from Bloodborne is a character that has struck me powerfully over time. The fascinating dichotomy in her character that has taken time and care for me to flesh out, but I'm happy to have been able to delve into the lore and create this video.
There have been some fantastic works dedicated to Maria in the past and I thought I would share some of the insights I've been able to build on my own independently from what I've seen and read.
That being said, I have read and highly recommend reading Redgrave's essay about Bloodborne, The Paleblood Hunt. It's one of the best-compiled resources of lore in the game. Although I don't agree with every point, it's one of the best resources for the story that you can possibly find, as well as a genuinely good read! The Paleblood Hunt is available for free here:
