Dr Kath Oakley gives an overview of the Breathlessness Masterclass, taking place in November 2025, open to healthcare professionals.
Dr Kath Oakley has been a consultant in palliative medicine at St Helena Hospice since 2012, following her role as medical lead at Farleigh Hospice. She graduated from the University of Liverpool Medical School in 1995 and was elected Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2008. Her academic achievements include an MA in Ethics of Cancer and Palliative Care from Keele University and an BA in Archaeology from Leicester University. Dr Oakley’s clinical interests focus on ethics, end-of-life care, and non-malignant disease. Outside of medicine, she is an active member of the Colchester Archaeological Group, contributing to a Roman site excavation in Fordham.
