Our first album TIME never got released digitally, with the success of our second album Over The Edge on Perris Records, they were happy to release TIME digitally October 29, 2021.... Physical copies of the album are still available at all the on line stores through MRR Records
Here's a review from Rocktopia (Fireworks Magazine)
This US record breezes in with some cool guitar, sweet vocal melodies and a track about living for the weekend. It brings on nostalgia, like looking through old photos, as it transports you back to the sound of the eighties when AOR/Melodic Rock like this could see you topping the Billboard charts. The band are essentially multi-instrumentalist and song-writer Jim Shepard, who has released a few solo albums (JADED, The Journey), and David Cagle, a man who has sung all kinds of genres over the years but appeals most to readers of this magazine due to his collaboration last year with JK Northrup (who actually does the mastering job for this record) on 'That's Gonna Leave A Mark', an album that picked up lots of rave
The record has a distinct US feel that at times reminded me of Jimmy Davis & Junction and occasionally solo Danny Wylde (Pre-Rembrandt days). The title-track is that Friday night feeling encapsulated in a song, while 'Four Leaf Clover' has the kind of hook most Melodic Rock groups try to aspire to. It also slightly reminds me of Shadow King in the verse which can't be a bad thing. 'Love Is Just A Matter Of Time' with its chugging riff and radio-friendly chorus is exactly the kind of song Heart should be covering these days, if they weren't constantly trying to deny their late eighties/early nineties output. There is a bit more of a modern punch on 'Fallen', 'Don't Bother Me' and 'Alive' which have a slightly darker feel to the guitar and lyrics, while the bonus track 'Lose You Now' adds some saxophone − can't get more eighties than that!
Stateside AOR is always welcome, but it's becoming increasingly rare. We rely on the Europeans to keep the Melodic Rock flame burning so acts like LastWorld are a precious gift we should treasure.
