Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw spoke in a press meet about the railway budget and high-speed trains. He talked about plans for new high-speed rail corridors across India, including a major "South High-Speed Triangle" connecting Chennai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. This will benefit states like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, and Puducherry by reducing travel time a lot and boosting economic growth in the region.He also gave details on the budget allocated to states. For Andhra Pradesh, the railway projects have been given Rs. 10,134 crores in this budget. Overall, there are ongoing railway projects in AP worth a total of Rs. 92,649 crores.For Telangana, Rs. 5,454 crores have been allocated for railway projects. The total value of ongoing projects in Telangana is Rs. 47,984 crores.The minister explained these allocations for the Telugu states during his address to the media.
