5. SOUNDBITE (German) Andre Poggenburg, AfD party candidate for Saxony-Anhalt:
"In Saxony-Anhalt and in all of Germany we need an opposition. We don't have an opposition right now. We have governing parties and so-called opposition parties but they all follow one policy, Merkel's policy. But people want an alternative, they want a real opposition and we want to take over this task."

STORYLINE:
Three German states were voting on Sunday in the first significant political test since the country saw a massive influx of migrants.
Andre Poggenburg, the lead candidate of AfD (Alternative for Germany) party in the Saxony-Anhalt state, cast his vote in the small village of Stoessen, which has a population of less than one thousand.
AfD, a three-year-old nationalist party, is expected to perform strongly amid unease over Chancellor Angela Merkel's liberal approach to Europe's migration crisis.
Poggenburg said the party is expected to get at least 20 per cent of the vote.
