Richard Basehart should be known to fans of 60s submarine series: Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. VTTBOTS finished filming in 1968 and SS was filmed in 1969 (first aired in 1970). So Basehart was going from one way out journey to another!
This made for television flick was mind blowing in the 70s and still just as mind blowing when rewatched in 2023.
