MG Cyberster RWD (Trophy) Walkthrough & Review | Cooler Than A Tesla Model 3 Performance?

Описание: We like everything about the MG Cyberster, in terms of looks, except for the back. There's a lot to like: 0-100km/h in 3.2 seconds, scissor doors, comfy Alcantara seats and an electric roof. All this and you don't have to pay Taycan money for it.

The MG Cyberster is targeted at high performance EV car enthusiasts. It focuses on design and performance while practicality takes a back seat.

In Malaysia, only the flagship model - Cybertster 4WD model - is currently available albeit with a 3-month waiting list. This is known as the GT model in other countries. The price for this Cyberster 4WD/GT model is RM319,900 over here in Malaysia. It costs about £59,995 in the UK.

There's a RWD model coming mid year. In other countries, it's known as the Cyberster Trophy. The price for this Cyberster RWD/Trophy model is estimated to cost between RM285,000 to RM289,000 over here in Malaysia. It costs about £54,995 in the UK.

In terms of space, there's a bit right behind the seats and a 249 L boot. No frunk, though. This isn't a family car so storage is limited.

Seats are some of the most comfortable we've been in for a performance car. They're leather with Alcantara inserts. Alcantara is harder wearing and more moisture resistant material than suede. It offers higher levels of grip than conventional leather or traditional fabrics.

Performance wise, The 4WD or GT variant is just a tad slower than the Tesla Model 3 Performance. 3.2 seconds from standstill to 100 km/h is pretty dang quick. The Cyberster 4WD/GT will best most Taycan variants.

Range is pretty good for a performance EV. 520 km WLTP for the Trophy or RWD model and 446 km WLTP for the GT or 4WD model.
