of the Caribbean Court of Justice / Vice President (Programming), Commonwealth Judicial Education Institute / Chair, Caribbean Association of Judicial Officers delivered the online guest lecture titled “Sea, Surf, Sand: The Caribbean Court of Justice’s Developmental Approaches to Caribbean Constitutionalism” to be delivered by , as part of the Global South Network (GSN) Judges Guest Lecture Series on Tuesday, 14 October 2025, at 15:00 UK Time (10:00 Trinidad and Tobago Time).

GSN started its journey on 17 March 2023. The GSN consists of academics (including staff and students from different schools and colleges of universities across the globe) and actors outside academia. It is aimed at empowering people from, or focusing on, the Global South. As of today, it is the only international interdisciplinary network that organised around 70 knowledge exchange activities (including 4 international hybrid conferences, around 55 high quality online PhD in Progress weekly panel-discussion seminars (Phase I (https://globalsouthnetwork.com/gsn-ph..., Phase II (https://globalsouthnetwork.com/phase-..., and Phase III (https://globalsouthnetwork.com/intern..., 12 guest lectures of supreme court judges from different countries (https://globalsouthnetwork.com/global..., created a team of conveners, established an interdisciplinary advisory committee (https://globalsouthnetwork.com/gsn-ad..., activated the website (www.globalsouthnetwork.com) and YouTube channel (    / @theglobalsouthnetwork  ) , created editorial board of GSN blogs, organised thematic and geographic groups within GSN, launched GSN mentoring, completed two edited collections on judicial independence (https://www.routledge.com/Judicial-In..., and created opportunities of public engagement for academics from all backgrounds just over a year of the network's launch.
GSN is the world's only interdisciplinary international network that is of and by the Global South but for both the Global South and the Global North and made an unparalleled contribution to equality, diversity and inclusion by hosting the guest talks of judges of both the Supreme Constitutional Court of Palestine (https://globalsouthnetwork.com/the-su...) and the Supreme Court of Israel (   • FULL RECORDING OF JUSTICE RUTH RONNEN'S LE...  ) during the peak of the Middle East crisis. 70% of participants during the GSN activities since its launch in March 2023 were women.
