This video rose from the ashes of a completely different concept/project that we've currently got on the shelf. And it almost didn't happen at all due to our busy schedules! Emily and I got on the phone the day before shooting this, and laid the groundwork for what this became. The only way we were able to have time to film it was if I woke up at 10am on a day I wasn't working, which was the worst thing ever.
Knowing we were working with limited resources, we worked with what we had- a house and friends to be in a video. After playing around with a few different shooting styles, I thought it looked most interesting to have minimal movement with the camera trucking left or right. It almost made her looks like a wax figure in some shots. This combined with her (wrongly) going household chores and a desaturated color, juxtaposed with bright happy shots of the band playing a show- made for not a bad music video considering all the scrambling we did to make it happen!
