TEDxKrakow - Wojtek Ozimek - Life is a game

Описание: Wojtek is the founder of one2tribe, a game design company whose products have been played by million of people and not just for fun -- one2tribe also works in advergaming and gamification, mainly for the telecom and financial services industries. Wojciech believes that the gamification, by which we mean the transfer of ideas that have been tried and tested in the world of electronic entertainment (e.g. acquiring points, levels and achievements) will only become more pervasive in our everyday lives and the real world. But what is the real world? Where does this trend of gamification come from? How can games help business build a better relationship with customers? And can we even map our lives onto a game?

Wojtek spoke at TEDxKraków, an independently organised TED event which took place on 20 October 2011 at the Manggha Centre for Japanese Art and Technology in Kraków Poland. Our theme was "The New Normal" and we asked our speakers to tell us about what we might just have to get used to once the dust settles from the various ongoing geopolitical, financial and environmental crises.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
