Yeovil Town FC in Superstore plan with Chris Dawson & C D S Discount Centres

In a bid to 'sustain the club the League One club say they must sell their grounds to stay in the League.

In a statement, Yeovil Town FC's chairman said that unless the they secured "essential revenues", plans to sustain the club would be "difficult, if not impossible" to produce.

The football club has entered into a partnership with C D S (Superstores International) Ltd, Discount Centres based in Plymouth.

At Yeovil Town Council's planning committee, the Huish Park supermarket plan was branded 'diabolical' by town leaders and sparked a barrage of criticism on Monday night.

The planning committee voted to recommend the plans be thrown out.

Objection is compounded by the protest already registered by Brympton Parish Council, which is also worried about traffic.
