I’ll be honest — this is an artist I wasn’t familiar with, and I went in with some strong preconceptions. I even thought I’d hate it within the first few seconds. But sometimes first impressions are wrong… and this was one of those times.
“Like You Really Mean It” is the lead single from Anjimile’s upcoming album You’re Free to Go, due for release on March 13th via 4AD Records. While the track has a slightly repetitive feel in places, the songwriting, production, and overall vibe genuinely surprised me — in a good way.
