challenges. They’ve been orphaned. They’ve seen unspeakable violence.
They’ve even seen death. These kids are strong. Resilient. But even the toughest little ones deserve support from grownups to cope with trauma. And yet, only 1% of the world’s health budget is dedicated to
children’s mental health. It’s not enough. They need more. Save the Children provides mental health and psychosocial support in our Child-Friendly Spaces, safe spaces where children can play and develop emotional skills after a crisis. This support includes arts-based group activities, child resilience work, and psychosocial support from psychologists to help children and teens understand what is happening to them and cope with their feelings.
