For the last couple of years, Portlanders in the right place at the right time might've been lucky enough to witness this man's rolling road show; The Portland Unipiper has entertained many folks unexpectedly when he shows up out of nowhere riding his unicycle, playing bagpipes, wearing a kilt, and lately, a Darth Vader mask and sometimes costume too!
In Tim Becker's "Life at Large", you'll get to meet the man behind the mask for the first time. His name is Brian Kidd, who started his act after finding a unicycle in a dumpster, about the same time he was starting to learn to play the bagpipes; He decided 'why not learn both?', and the rest ... is visual and audible history, randomly on display in Portland.
