Marry Me is an upcoming American romantic musical comedy-drama film directed by Kat Coiro and written by John Rogers, Tami Sagher, and Harper Dill. It is based on Bobby Crosby's graphic novel of the same name. The film is starring Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson, Maluma, John Bradley, and Sarah Silverman.
After discovering that her on-stage partner (Maluma) has been having an affair behind her back, Kat Valdez, a sensational Latin pop star played by Jennifer Lopez, chooses to marry a stranger, Charlie Gilbert, played by Owen Wilson, who happens to be holding a "Marry Me" sign at her live concert by accident.
The film is based on the comic Marry Me, which was first published as a webcomic. After filming from October to November 2019, Marry Me is scheduled to be released by Universal Pictures on February 11 2022, and will also be available for streaming on Peacock on the same day.
