If your core work turns into crunching your ribs down, gripping your six-pack, or clenching your glutes… you’re missing the goal.
This Supine Baby Swiss Ball ISO Hold helps you find a neutral pelvis, train the stack, and light up your deep core (obliques + TA) using breathing — without turning it into a hard brace or ab flex.
It’s a simple way to build real pressure management before you load squats, hinges, and presses.
🔥 What this drill improves
• Neutral pelvis (PSIS grounded without back arching)
• Ribcage stacking + better trunk positioning
• Deep core activation (obliques/TA) without “six-pack” tension
• Bottoms-up exhale pattern (belly sinks first, ribs sink last)
• Rib cage expansion while staying stacked
• Better brace skills that transfer to lifting
• Hip/inner thigh integration without over-gripping
📌 Key setup cues:
• Use a Swiss ball (often better slightly deflated so it’s not too wide)
• Knees slightly wider than feet (abducted/externally rotated)
• Bring knees higher so you can feel PSIS on the ground (no arching)
• Keep abs soft and spongy (no crunching) + glutes relaxed
• Add a soft reach (traps off, shoulder blades still supported)
• Inhale slow through the nose → exhale long, bottoms-up → pause 1–2 sec
📌 Great for:
Lifters and athletes who struggle with rib flare, anterior pelvic tilt patterns, poor bracing, low-back tightness in lifts, glute clenching, or core drills that only hit hip flexors and neck.
💬 Comment “ISO” if you felt your deep core light up down near the inside of the hips (not in the six-pack).
