Visit, learn and enjoy but don't remove items from this historic place. - Caretaker Jose Poblano walks you through camp showing some of the things miner & inventor, Walter Bickel lived. Non-profit "Friends of Last Chance Canyon" has been formed to help preserve this unique place in it's original context. Please consider making a donation to help with this effort. When visiting camp, please remember to bring water and other staples including toilet paper, paper towels, propane, gasoline, fruits, potatoes, onions, bread and other staple items to leave with the caretaker.
