Winter has arrived in southern Sweden, and that means one thing: Moving into my newly bought cottage just became a real challenge.
In this video, I take you along as I move house in the middle of a Swedish winter, starting with freeing my van from snow, packing everything into a single trip, and saying goodbye to my old place — with one last long walk, together with my dog Vicky.
The drive through snowy countryside takes longer than expected, but the real work starts once I arrive. From shoveling over 430 square feet of snow just to park, to unloading the van completely exhausted, this move tested me physically and mentally.
There are surprises — good and bad — kind neighbors, unexpected footprints in the snow, firewood deliveries, and finally getting internet connected in rural Sweden thanks to your comments.
I’ll also give you a full house tour and walk you through the floor plan, so you get a clear picture of my new life in the Swedish countryside.
If you enjoy slow living, dog companionship, countryside life, winter challenges, and honest life transitions, this video is for you.
Thank you for being part of this journey!!!
