Eheim biopower's are advanced internal filters which have some of the benefits of an external canister unit.

They have foam and along with ceramic filter media which increases the filter's capabilities.

Within the range of Eheim biopower's, you have 3 filters which are suitable for aquariums up to 240 litres.

These filters will provide you with years of excellent, reliable service and are especially good for planted and peaceful community aquariums.

The Eheim biopower is a development of the Eheim aquaball filter. This is of a modular, cylindrically fashioned design, with a 'ball shaped' pump head fitted in the top. The pump fits in to a very sturdy ball-joint holder and the outlet can be pointed in almost any direction. This is all mounted on the aquariums glass with a sturdy holder and 3x very effective suction cups.

The modular filter design has:

• Closed filter baskets with "Easy Click" locking system for simple connection and detachment. • These are filled with highly efficient Eheim SUBSTRATpro filter media.
• (extra filter baskets are available separately to increase the size of the filter, a maximum of 2 per filter is recommended.
• The inlet strainer equipped with an Eheim filter cartridge for mechanical-biological pre-filtration.
• Adjustable output.

In addition to these, alternative filter medias are available to fit these filters:

• Eheim AKTIV carbon (loose carbon) 250ml, both for the removal of chemicals and pollutants.
• Phosphate removing cartridges for helping to reduce algae.

Outlet attachments are included. You have the choice of using either:

• Venturi power diffuser (for a blast of bubbles and extra oxygenation of the water).
• Spray bar jet pipe (for an even spread of water movement).
• You can attach a piece of flexible hose to pump the water into a feature or trickle filter (not included).
• Or do not do any of the above and just let the water flow out gently using the flow adjuster on the pump.

Other Eheim accessories available separately to fit these filters:

• Wide-jet nozzle, for a flat wide jet of water.
• Nozzle and adapter set, for attaching 12/16mm and 16/22mm Eheim hose to the pump outlet.
• Extension Piece for Installation Set 1 (attaching to nozzles or spray bar).
• Spray Bar for Installation Set 2 (larger spray bar set for pump outlet)
