Rating countries based on how safe I felt as a solo female traveler (part 3) ✈️
🇫🇯 Fiji: 8/10
The Yasawa Islands felt very safe as a solo traveler. In Nadi, which is where the main international airport is, I’d say I felt a little more unsafe because in the city, there were not many other tourists around, and there were also some weird people hanging right next to the hostels, but I didn’t have any actual safety issues.
*I’ve visited Nadi and the Yasawa Islands
🇵🇱 Poland: 9/10
I’ve felt very safe in Poland most of the time, but it’s not a full 10/10 because some of the cities didn’t really have a great selection of hostels for solo travelers, in my opinion. The hostels felt a bit weird at times, but weren’t really unsafe either.
*I’ve visited Warsaw and Gdansk solo, but I’ve also been to Poznan, Krakow, and Wroclaw (not solo).
🇦🇹 Austria: 10/10
Vienna was the first city I ever visited properly as a solo traveler, and I felt very safe the whole time.

🇩🇰 Denmark: 10/10
I’ve only visited Copenhagen so far and felt super safe at all times, including after dark! I think this is a great city for beginner solo travelers to visit.
