New Delhi, 30 January (IANS): As part of Indo-Bangladesh defense cooperation, joint military training exercises are being held at Umroi in Meghalaya from 3 to 16 February where the two forces will jointly practice counterinsurgency security operations in an environment controlled and simulated. .

"The SAMPRITI-IX exercise is an important bilateral defense cooperation effort between India and Bangladesh and will be the ninth edition of the exercise held alternately by the two countries," Indian Army spokesman Colonel Aman Anand told IANS.

During SAMPRITI-IX joint military exercises, command and field exercises will be conducted. For both command posts and field training exercises, a scenario where the two countries work together in an anti-terrorism environment will be simulated under the UN Charter.

A progressive field training curriculum is planned where participants will initially be familiar with their respective organizational structures and tactical exercises.

Furthermore, joint tactical exercises will be carried out in which both troops' battle exercises will be conducted. "This training will reach its peak with a final validation exercise in which troops of the two forces will jointly practice the Anti-Trouble Security Operation

In addition, to understand each other at the tactical level, greater cultural understanding will be emphasized to strengthen military trust and cooperation between the two countries.
