The interesting thing about the food scene in Bengaluru is the variety of cuisines on offer and also the sub cultures within. One such interesting but little-known concept is that of Bachelor Centres that were prevalent years ago in homes close to educational institutions and work areas where students and bachelors would dine on homely fare, I was told by my friend and culinarian, Chef Fasiullah. In this episode, we explore two such eateries, the first, Firdous BC, that goes back about thirty years and the second, Pahilwani Handi, in a wrestling arena that dates back 130 years!
