The Urban Highline Festival is the largest event of its kind in the world. Every year, the festival brings over 300 participants from all over the world to Lublin, Poland. In the past, we have hosted slackliners from Europe, Canada, the USA, China, Australia, Brazil, Peru, Israel and India. Highlining in the urban space is a great attraction for both highliners and spectators strolling through the city because this sport is usually practiced high in the mountains, not in an urbanized space. However, the organizers of Carnaval decided to take a risk and transfer this discipline to the streets of Lublin, to refer to the character of Jasza Mazur, the hero of Isaac Bashevis Singer's book "The Magician of Lublin". The Urban Highline Festival is an integral part of Carnaval and during busker performances on the ground, it delights the spectators from above. Combine Carnaval and the Urban Highline Festival, and astounding, exciting, spectacular, hilarious and eye-catching sights and sounds can be found in every direction, including straight UP!
