Jim Tobin was referred to as “Ireland’s answer to Jim Reeves”.
His first time in a recording studio, at only 24 years old he recorded this version of the Jim Reeves classic “This is it”.
It became an instant hit and his first No.1 record in Ireland in 1969.
Sadly “Gentleman Jim”, as he was affectionately know, lost a courageous battle with ALS/Motor Neurone Disease in August 2019.
May his velvet voice and Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.
