UNA SOLUZIONE INTELLIGENTE PER IL DISSALATORE SCHENKER
Nella clip video qui sotto è possibile osservare una soluzione intelligente per la sistemazione di un dissalatore Schenker (modello Smart) con una capacità di 80lt/h senza sprecare spazio prezioso all’interno della barca.
La barca in oggetto, in particolare, è un Solaris 42 piedi, uno dei primi usciti, presentati al salone di Genova tre anni fa. Come è facile intuire, la funzione di un dissalatore è quella di trasformare l’acqua marina in acqua dolce, anche potabile in emergenza (benchè naturalmente priva di sali minerali) tuttavia utilissima soprattutto per tutte le altre situazioni in cui è necessaria una grossa quantità d’acqua dolce, come lavare, lavarsi, cucinare… una quantità d’acqua potenzialmente infinita.
Acqua di ottima qualità per tutti i serbatoi, ma, per essere certi al cento per cento della sua salubrità, è possibile inoltre applicare una lampada a raggi ultravioletti che sanifica e sterilizza tutto.
La soluzione adottata per questa imbarcazione è stata quella di alloggiare in due posti diversi la membrana del dissalatore e la sua pompa: è proprio questa la caratteristica del modello Smart, quella di essere modulare. Il che consente di ottimizzare gli ingombri e non saturare il solito gavone di poppa, spesso adibito a “garage”. In questo caso ho montato la membrana a prua, sotto il letto matrimoniale.
Naturalmente, infine, la cosa migliore è attivare il dissalatore a motore acceso, mentre si viaggia, in modo da ottimizzare anche il consumo di corrente elettrica prodotta. Mai più senza acqua nei serbatoi!

AN INTELLIGENT SOLUTION FOR THE SCHENKER WATERMAKER
In the video clip below you can see an intelligent solution for arranging a Schenker watermaker (Smart model) with a capacity of 80lt / h without wasting precious space inside the boat.
The boat in question, in particular, is a 42-foot Solaris, one of the first to be released, presented at the Genoa boat show three years ago. Easy to guess, the function of a desalinator is to transform sea water into fresh water, also drinkable in emergency (although naturally free of mineral salts) however very useful especially for all other situations in which a large quantity of fresh water is needed, like washing, cooking... a potentially infinite amount of water.
Excellent quality water for all tanks, but to be 100% certain of its health, it is also possible to apply an ultraviolet lamp that sanitizes and sterilizes everything.
The solution adopted for this boat was to house the membrane of the desalinator and its pump in two different places: this is precisely the characteristic of the Smart model, that of being modular. This makes it possible to optimize the overall dimensions and not saturate the usual stern locker, often used as a "garage". In this case I mounted the membrane in the bow, under the double bed.
Finally, of course, the best thing is to activate the watermaker with the engine running, while traveling, in order to optimize the consumption of electricity produced. Never again without water in the tanks!
