Here, from the early morning itself, people are gathering for the purchase of Onion,as, it has been the wholesale onion market, of the whole down south of Tamil Nadu.
Apart from this onion market, there has been one vegetable market for the retail use,for the local people of East Marret street.So this street is always full of traffic jam, caused by the lorries, tri cycles and also by the purchasing people. Here, there has been one traditional silks showroom, named as S.R.B. Silks. With the addition to this, there have been a few hospitals residing in this street.
