Описание: Jackson Spencer, a senior at Herriman High, won the boys Class 6A crown at the Utah High School Activities Association state championships at Sugar House Park in Salt Lake City. Spencer covered the 3-mile layout in 14:29.78, the fastest performance on any course in Utah state finals history, including the previous Sugar House Park layout, as well as the Regional Athletic Complex. Kaden Evans of American Fork ran 14:45.51 at Sugar House Park last season, with Spencer placing runner-up in the Class 6A final in 14:51.08. Casey Clinger of American Fork clocked 14:42.9 on the previous Sugar House Park course in the Class 5A final in 2016, with Daniel Simmons from American Fork running 14:44.0 in 2023 in the Class 6A final at the Regional Athletic Complex. Spencer helped Herriman capture back-to-back team titles by a 60-62 margin against American Fork, contributing to a third overall crown in program history for the Mustangs, along with 2012.
