VERSE
And the Lord said unto you, Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Deuteronomy 31:6

EXPLANATION
Blessed be the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. You will never be left alone in the valley or on the battlefield. The same God who fought for Israel fights for you even today. Deuteronomy 31:6 is not just a historical promise. It is a living word spoken into your present situation. God Himself goes with you. He will not fail you. He will not forsake you.

How blessed we are to have a God who stands with us. When can we truly be strong and resilient? The Scripture says, There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. When we believe in His perfect love, fear loses its power over us. Fear may shout, but love speaks louder.

Sometimes people accuse you. Sometimes situations threaten you. But when you trust in His love, you will not be terrified before men. You must decide whether you will believe the word of God or the word of man. When the people of Israel were preparing for battle, the Lord told them to be obedient and courageous. He did not send them alone. He went before them and fought for them.

The psalmist declared, The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? When God is for us, no opposition can finally stand against us. David sang, Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. His presence removes fear and fills us with courage.

The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the Lord. We may prepare, we may pray, we may plan, but victory belongs to Him. Many times in Scripture we see the Lord fighting for His people when they trusted Him fully.

There was once a little boy who ran away from his parents in excitement, thinking he knew the way. Soon he realized he was lost and terrified. In the same way, we sometimes feel that we have lost our direction in life. Problems surround us. We feel as if we have gone far from God. But even then, His heart is full of love. He says, I will never leave you.

If today you feel swallowed by difficulties, remember this promise. Report this word over your life. Be not afraid nor dismayed, for the Lord goes with you. Tell Him all your burdens. Believe that He will never leave you nor forsake you. When you hold on to His promise, you will not feel lost. You will stand strong, because the Lord Himself stands with you.

PRAYER
Dear Lord, I thank You that You are with me in every battle of my life. Whenever fear tries to enter my heart, remind me that You are near. Thank You for Your promise that You will never fail me nor forsake me. Remove every fear and trembling from my heart and fill me with Your perfect love.

Lord, strengthen me and make me courageous. Help me to trust Your word above every human voice. Fight my battles and cover me with Your glory. Let Your presence surround me today. I choose faith over fear. I believe that You are with me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
