In today’s video I’m diving into the Nightmare Difficulty experience in Dying Light: The Beast after the major 1.5 update (released on the 17th) — and breaking down why the new hunger mechanic has the community split.
A lot of you said Nightmare is fun, but the hunger meter drains way too fast… and after testing it, I can see why. I timed each hunger stage (Full → Hungry → Very Hungry → Famished → Starving) and explained exactly how it impacts stamina, regeneration, health penalties, combat difficulty, escaping chases, and even what happens when you hit starvation (including the frustrating “death loop” risk if you respawn without nearby food).
