► Lore of Humanoid Space Odyssey

Since their emergence, the Humanoids have never stopped dividing human society.
Their mutations, granting them extraordinary abilities, could have been seen as the rebirth of the human species, but were instead perceived by many as a threat. They were hunted, judged, and enslaved. To symbolically differentiate them, and to ensure they would never forget that they were no longer considered human, they were given the name Humanoids, a term echoing the one used for machines.

When space expansion began, their abilities and resilience greatly served human fleets. Stronger and requiring less sleep, they were assigned to the most demanding tasks aboard spacecraft. They were sent to explore the most hostile planets.

Over time, humans built empires, some collapsed, others endured, and eventually they united to form the High Galactic Alliance, a coalition bringing together the armies and peoples of multiple planets across the galaxy. On rare planets, Humanoids are accepted as full members of society. But the High Galactic Alliance, which extends its influence across all colonized worlds, has always seen the Humanoids as the greatest threat to humanity. And a group of Humanoids known as the Ghost Squad does everything it can to slow the expansion of the High Galactic Alliance.
