Here is my cover of The Fog from Persona 4. This track is also known as "Mist."


“The Fog” serves as the final boss battle theme of Persona 4, playing during the climactic confrontation with Izanami. The track is among the most memorable of Shoji Meguro’s contributions to the Persona series, standing out for its intensity and emotional weight at the culmination of the Investigation Team’s journey.

In 2025, during the Undertale 10th anniversary stream, Toby Fox revealed that his composition ASGORE was directly inspired by “The Fog,” further cementing the song’s legacy and influence across RPG soundtracks.

Persona 4 was released in 2008 for the PlayStation 2 and later expanded as Persona 4 Golden for the PlayStation Vita in 2012, introducing new content, characters, and events. The game follows protagonist Yu Narukami and his friends in Inaba as they investigate mysterious murders linked to the TV World. The soundtrack, composed by Shoji Meguro with vocals by Shihoko Hirata, became a defining part of the game’s lasting legacy.


This cover was made using the soundfont of Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones on the Game Boy Advance. I used AnvilStudio and FEBuilder to create this arrangement. The track is fully usable in potential ROM hacks.
