Heya! So recently, I got my first Rickenbacker! I decided to cover this song, as I've already covered the bass and lead. I was planning to do a full cover of this song (rhythm, lead, and bass), but unfortunately my Grestch has been having some pretty bad intonation issues, and will be out of service for cover making for a bit.
For this cover, I used a Rickenbacker 325c64, while Lennon played a Rickenbacker 325 1958. I tried to get as close to the tone as possible, but the 64 325 is a lot more janglier and bright than the the 58 325. I ran this through a VOX amp simulator!
One thing, if you're curious about my input, is that the 325 (despite being small scale) is actually very comfortable! I stand at 6'1 (roughly 180 cm I think), and have pretty big hands. I was concerned about not being able to feel comfort while playing, but this was never actually an issue. Of course, I'd advise to try one before buying, that is if there is a way you can try one near you. However, from personal experience, I really love it!
