I have multiple patches of Alyssum, self seeded from last year's plants. They have been in blooms non-stop since spring. Deadheading really help them keep going especially when the weather cools down. They can bloom till frost. In previous years, I gave them a hair cut mid summer. They will produce a second flush of blooms but I find the blank between the two rushes are not as desirable. However, if you do not have time or patience, that is a good alternative.
