Ecuador's Vargas Sarmiento proved consistency pays off, earning points in four different sprints to claim silver on equal points but with a slower finish time!
The points race format created thrilling sprint battles every 400m, with positions constantly changing as skaters fought for those precious championship points. Germany's Gaiser delivered when it mattered most, using her sprint speed to secure bronze!
