NRM CEC recommends maintaining status quo in Kadaga-Oulanyah speaker race

Описание: Baring any last minute maneuvers, incumbent Speaker Rebecca Kadaga and her deputy Jacob Oulanyah could be set for a bruising contest for the third highest political office in Uganda.
This after the Central Executive Committee, the second highest decision making organ of the ruling NRM party learned the duo to contest for Speaker on the party ticket.
The fate of the two and seven others eyeing the Deputy Speaker’s seat will be decided by the NRM parliamentary Caucus that will sit on Thursday.
And as Maurice Ochol reports, the nine will then go into the final contest in Parliament where the new MPs will vote the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the 10th Parliament.
