The VK 30.01 (D) is a German tier 6 medium tank.

In the winter of 1941–1942 the tank development department (WaPrüf 6) issued technical requirements for a new 30-ton tank. The orders for development were placed with MAN and Daimler-Benz. The prototypes were to be ready by May 1942. However, on May 13, 1942, only comparative characteristics of the projects were submitted. The MAN project was preferred, and the Daimler-Benz project was canceled.

This is a versatile & adaptive medium for its tier. Like other German tanks it is best used to control area at range on the battlefield – & like the rest of the Leopard 1 line, this tank does that by maneuvering into an area to snipe & ambush. Capable weaponry demonstrates the versatility in playstyle of this line, compared to a dedicated spotter. Your survival will rely on staying unspotted.

The VK 30.01 (D) marks the end of its German medium line.

Pros and Cons
Pros:

Excellent gun depression, with strong spaced turret front and mantlet
No armor weakspots compared to the Pz.Kpfw. III

Cons:

As with most tier 4s, mediocre guns and horrible penetration
Second turret jams easily if hit in the cheeks
Way worse than the Pz.III, but Still decent mobility for its tier
