hello and welcome to miss beths place
today we will be making a classic dessert tried and true Oreo dirt cake. this dish is great for family gatherings and events or when you just want a big dish of goodness.
ingredients .....
1 stick of butter
1 8oz cream cheese
1 12 oz cool whip
1 cup sugar [can use powdered sugar instead]
3 cups milk
1 large box instant vanilla pudding
1 tsp. vanilla
2 pkgs of Oreo cookies or 1 1/4 pounds
finely crush cookies in bowl and set aside
next cream butter and cream cheese together
then add sugar and cool whip/mix set aside
next in another bowl mix together vanilla, box of pudding mix and 3 cups milk ....when this is set mix with other mixture
put half of crushed cookies in bottom of 10x13 baking dish or pan
then pour in and smooth out cream cheese pudding mixture do not stir. then lastly top with other half of cookie mixture.
cover and place in refrigerator for 10-12 hours
feeds about 10 people
