B'Moth is a fictional sea god created by Bertram Russell in 1929, B'Moth has since been incorporated into the Cthulhu Mythos by Henry Hasse in "The Guardian of the Book", and would go on to be portrayed as an avatar of Cthulhu in the role-playing game Call of Cthulhu.
B'Moth is a glowing, fog-like entity. It has no direct control over the physical realm, and must rely on its, admittedly extensive, mental abilities to exert its influence. However, this lack of a tangible physical presence works both ways, and it is almost immune to harm in this world.
B'Moth primarily uses its psychic abilities to control the minds of others to achieve its goals, although it is also known to wantonly spread madness through dreams and waking nightmares wherever it goes. Its power also seems to increase in proximity to large bodies of water.
