Wherever the water flows, the fish will follow (Vart än vattnet leds följer fisken med) by The United FNL-groups (De förenade FNL-grupperna) is a Swedish Vietnam song from 1971 that tells the story of the Vietnamese resistance to the American invasion during the Vietnam war.
FNL, which is mentioned in the song, is the french acronym for the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam, in America more famous as the Viet Cong.
The song's storytelling approach means we get told a lot about the American repression of people in South Vietnam, the buildup to the increased bombings and the Vietnamese attack on the American airbase at Đà Nẵng, among other things.

During the Vietnam war, there was a strong movement in Sweden that was anti-American and pro-FNL. Apart from demonstrations and raising funds for the Vietnamese people and the FNL, several bands and song groups released albums with songs about the struggle, Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnam war. Some of them came together and released albums under the name De förenade FNL-grupperna (The United FNL Groups).
