This decision comes after widespread opposition from the local community and concerns over the project's prior authorization.

The project would have placed up to 231 turbines on over 50,000 acres of federal land.
President Donald Trump had previously signed an executive order halting the project pending additional research and approval.
The Idaho House of Representatives had also unanimously passed a resolution opposing the project.
