Описание: In a short distance from the town of Loutraki lies an important religious place of worship, the Monastery of Saint Patapios. The monastery stands on a slope of Geraneia Mountain at a point with spectacular view of both the Corinthian and the Saronic Gulf.
The monastery is an extension of the hermitage of the Saint, which dates back to the 12th century and where, to this day, the Holy Relic of Saint Patapios is kept, a saint who is considered to be miraculous.
Thousands of people visit the monastery every year to worship the relic of the Saint, in this beautiful location which rewards the visitor with its view and its physical and spiritual beauty. The monastery houses about 40 nuns, is located at an altitude of 650 - 700 meters, at a distance of about 14 km from Loutraki and is easily accessible by car.
