Ware Level Crossing, Hertfordshire (06/01/24)

Описание: First I must apologise for the absence, hopefully more videos are to come but time will tell. The first video of 2024 too!

Ware was originally fairly well known from channels like ‪@Ha44yb0y0nTrains‬ and ‪@Welwyn22‬ . It can be found in a town with the same name as the crossing. The crossing is just beyond Ware station and nearby to the shops and New River.

This crossing is situated on the route from Hertford East to London Liverpool Street and is exclusively served by Class 720 Aventra units built by Bombardier for Greater Anglia. The final Class 317 service departed here in April of 2022 and the final Class 315 much longer ago.

Up until not too long ago had a pair of YA30 yodalarms which were very distinctive compared to the more boring YO3 sound there now. With this LC having gone through multiple alarm combinations including YO3 + YA30, YA30 + YA30, YA30 + E2S and YO3 + YO3 it may well change again soon. This crossing has had SPX Supporter Arm barriers and LED Unipart Rail (2007-2015 version) wig wags for a long while now and a few replaced arms can be found adjacent to the crossing, dumped.

This video was filmed on a cold winter afternoon at about 14:30 with the sun briefly coming out to play. I visited 3 crossings on this trip however only 2 will be released to Youtube for now...
