The Municipal Chief Executive for Nzema East Municipality, Herbert Kuah Dickson, has strongly denied allegations that he and the Assembly are taxing illegal miners.
The controversy erupted after viral receipts showed GHC10,000 payments for excavator stickers in the name of Samloc Company Limited, sparking widespread public outrage.
Speaking on the matter, the MCE insists he does not tax galamsey operators and maintains that Samloc Company Limited is a ceramic clay mining company — not involved in illegal gold mining.
