True Blood: Inside the Mind of True Blood's Andy Bellefleur

Hey there, Truebies! Jager here from http://www.wetpaint.com. We recently scored an exclusive interview with Chris Bauer, the man behind Bon Temp's Sheriff Andy Bellefleur. Let's take a trip inside the mind of Andy, shall we?

The lawman is doing his best to stay on the wagon while he tries to keep order in a town full of sexy, supernatural monsters, but don't be surprised if there's a relapse coming soon. Is Andy in fact sober? Chris says the sheriff would answer, "One day at a time." Indeed.

So, are we going to finally meet Andy's sister, Portia, or what? Yep! Chris confirmed that "we will meet Andy's sister and, from my observation, learn that she got the looks in the family." Aww... don't be so hard on yourself, Andy... Oh wait... Portia will be portrayed by Courtney Ford who played Vanessa on The Vampire Diaries... and she's actually super hot. Guess this chickie's got a thing for the vamps just like the rest of us.

Now, when we asked Chris if Andy would finally step up and be a good sheriff, he got a wee bit defensive! Chris insisted that "Andy's flaws have always certainly been out in the open, and that makes him an obvious target for scorn and criticism. But all in all, he's a full-on dedicated public servant." Take it easy, Bauer... we believe ya.

Unfortunately, there don't seem to be any love interests on the horizon for Andy, nor any randy nude scenes... not that Chris is all eager to show off his birthday suit or anything. "Does anyone really want to see that?" he joked. And added, "I work out five days a week, how come I still have a double chin?" Ok, now he's making us feel bad.

Last but not least, we asked Chris which True Blood beast he'd love to be. He quickly responded, "If I could look like Joe Manganiello, I'd be him. I mean Alcide. I mean a werewolf." Good choice. As far as his super power of choice, "Without question I'd be a shifter and I would shift into a 10-year younger version of myself... Every 10 years." Brilliant!
