The Problem With Movie Comparisons

Elio and Kpop Demon Hunters are two animated films that came out around the same time. After watching both, I thought they were really good movies all things considered, albeit for different reasons. That's where a comparison between between both of these movies should end in my opinion because there's nothing much else that connects these two films, and enjoying one of these movies shouldn't affect one's enjoyment of the other movie. But people are trying to compare these two to bash Disney more and elevate Sony with praise that frankly feels quite misplaced. We can bash Disney all we want, but we shouldn't let these comparisons devolve into an argument of which brand of animated movie is best because that's not a healthy discussion and here's why.
