Walk 43 / An Evening Walk, A Cross Section of Dubai / Opp. Grand Mosque, Al Fahidi St to ADCB Metro Station / Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) / 27 January 2019, Sunday



This is one of my favourite walks in Dubai. I like it a lot because somehow I didn’t intend to film this walk, nor did I plan for it. I didn’t really know where I was heading to, except I was walking in a certain direction towards a (famous) restaurant that my friends and I were having dinner at that night. I set off after my visit to the Dubai Museum, and very quickly ended up in Al Fahidi Metro Station (Sorry, I don’t know Dubai well, so all my references in the city are metro stations), but decided to walk some more, towards BurJuman Station. I entered some small shopping malls in between, and was warned not to film in a Carrefour. I walked some more, thinking I could just walk towards where I was supposed to have dinner. Walking in a city I don’t know is always a strange experience. It’s very great to be able to know a city through this video, while filming it or rewatching it. The video ends with a recording of a distant evening prayer from a mosque. Hope you’ll like this.
