Lahore, Pakistan ➖ On my second day here in Lahore I went to explore Lahore Fort. Catching a tuk-tuk was the only appropriate mode of transport to make it to the old city, so I hailed one quickly from my hotel and headed there. As I made my way to the walled city, I was a bit confused as I had never been here before and it was a large complex. Luckily, I ran into a friendly security guard who offered me some chai and gave me directions to the main entrance of the fort area. Tuk-tuks and motorbikes were flying past me, but I knew which way to go after seeing a big tour bus driving past me.

I was walking around the city, taking in the sights and sounds, it was really cool seeing the massive walls that stretched up into the sky. It's amazing to see the remnants of what once was a bustling fort full of life and activity. After exploring for most of the day, I was in need of some refreshments and food, so went to the street to search for just that. I got slightly distracted by seeing a skilled shoe cleaner and knew I needed to get a clean on my Iraqi Nikes. After that, I headed to the coconut stand to drink and taste some refreshing coconuts, it was a great way to end the day.
